Role Description

Position Title: Analyst - Loan Specialist

Department: Loan Administration

Reports to: Vice President, Team Leader - Loan Administration

Overview

This position will provide assistance and support to the Vice President, Loan Administration and/or Associate, Loan Administration to monitor and maintain filling of relevant credit and other documentation of corporate customers in Bank's depository system (File Nexus). This position is also responsible to monitor and maintain relevant credit information of each customer within the Loan IQ application and GBR system.

Responsibilities or Key Accountabilities:

• Review new/existing credit agreements and ensure all relevant documents are uploaded to File Nexus. Follow up with Corporate Bankers/Agent Banks for missing documents.
• Prepare mid-month documentation reports for senior management.
• Upload relevant documents of corporate customers to File Nexus on time and diarize for future receipts accordingly
• Register negotiable, non-negotiable, other documents and store in Bank's vault.
• Responsible for other administrative duties, projects and data maintenance duties within the department as assigned.
• Assist VP in creating new manuals and reviewing and making changes to existing policies and procedures
• Ensures that the processes followed are in full compliance with all of the Bank's policies and procedures, including Anti-Money Laundering policies, and the requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies as communicated by SMBCCB's Compliance Department.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate degree or higher. High school diploma, if candidate possesses relevant experience.
• Understanding of all loan documentation related to credit agreements
• 1-2 years previous related corporate banking loan administration experience.
• Good interpersonal (Team player), organizational and communication (verbal & written) skills.
• Self-driven, able to work independently and under pressure
• Good computer skills, especially in MS Excel and good keyboarding skills.
• Ability to set priorities and develop a work schedule to complete assigned tasks on timely basis.
• Business fluency in the English language.
• Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Document management system
