Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Provide care and supervision to the client

·         Take responsibility of the household in the parents’ absence

·         Prepare client’s meals as requested and agreed by the parents

·         Instruct client in personal hygiene

·         Take the client to and from school and to appointments

·         Provide a caring, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment

·         Tend to emotional well-being of client and support social development

·         Provide age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings

·         Assist with household errands and shopping for grocery and household supplies

Requirements:

·         1+ year of experience

·         Completion of secondary school

·         Must be reliable and able to care for children with kindness and patience

·         Demonstrate good judgement and organizational skills

·         Excellent interpersonal skills

·         Be available to work early morning, morning, day and evening

Work conditions:

·         Physically demanding; weight handling up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

·         Repetitive tasks
