Part-Time Optometry Clinic Front Desk / Optical Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Part-Time Front Desk / Optical Assistant to join our growing optometry clinic. If you enjoy working with people, have a passion for healthcare, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude
- Answer phone calls, emails, and schedule appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with insurance claims
- Maintain patient records using our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Assist patients with frame selection and data entering for orders
- Perform pre-testing before eye examinations (training provided if needed)
- Process payments and maintain an organized reception area
- Assist with general clinic and optical retail operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an optometry, optical, ophthalmology, or healthcare clinic is preferred
- Familiarity with optical products (frames, lenses, contact lenses) is an asset
- Fluent in English (required)
- Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an add- on , not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Positive attitude, dependable, and a team player
Schedule
- Part-time
- Additional weekday shifts may be available based on clinic needs
