Join Trans Mountain as a Contract Cost Controller in Calgary, Alberta, where you'll drive financial accountability in major projects. This in-office position emphasizes a detailed approach to cost management. You will be an essential member of the Major Projects team, reporting directly to the Lead, Cost Control.
Your responsibilities will include developing budgets, monitoring project costs, and preparing financial analyses to support project management. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will ensure effective cost tracking and reporting, aligning with governance standards.
Key Responsibilities Support AFE preparation and budget submissions
Control costs and verify accuracy of financial data
Prepare cost reports, estimates, and forecasts
Manage project change orders and impacts
Identify performance trends and variances for corrective action
Requirements 10+ years of cost management in capital projects
AACE certification preferred; PMP is beneficial
Advanced Excel capabilities; experience with ERP systems
Robust understanding of change management frameworks
Ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams
