Live-In Personal Support Worker

I am seeking an experienced Live-In Personal Support Worker to provide full-time care for a client in Waterloo starting October 1, 2026. This is a private position in the client’s home for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and confident supporting a bedridden individual living with paralysis. The client requires daily assistance with transfers to a wheelchair, personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Main responsibilities include bed bath support, bathing assistance, toileting assistance, bed pan care, dressing and grooming assistance, patient positioning, and heavy lifting and transfers. Experience using a Hoyer lift and providing safe lifts and transfers is essential. This is a full-time live-in role with approximately 30 to 40 hours per week. Coverage is needed Monday through Friday for mornings, middle of the day, evenings, and nights. A valid driver’s license is required, and the worker must be able to use their own car.
