Infection Prevention Practitioner at Fraser Health

In this critical position, the Infection Prevention Practitioner will facilitate the implementation of infection prevention protocols under the guidance of the Manager, Clinical Operations. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in healthcare to conduct audits, analyze infection risks, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Your experience in acute care and infection control will be key in making impactful improvements across healthcare sites. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct infection surveillance and data analysis
- Develop and implement infection prevention initiatives
- Perform investigative audits with healthcare professionals
- Provide expertise in outbreak management and control measures
- Offer consultation to healthcare teams on IPC standards
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science discipline
- Three years of related acute care experience
- Enrollment in an approved Infection Control course
- Valid BC Driver’s License for business travel
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control practices
