Part-time: Junior Graphic Designer

Desired  Results of the Position :   

• Assist   the graphic design team in d esigning high quality, leading edge promotional material  

• Promotes   all of   the   Algonquin   Students’ Association  (SA)  facilities,   services   and events across all three campuses   
   

Nature and Scope :  

Reporting to the Manager,   Marketing and supervised by the Creative Director, the incumbent is a team player that will   assist   in   develop ing   promotional materials from the stages of design to production. They enjoy seeing projects through from   initial   idea to production with a positive attitude.   As a self-starter, the Junior Graphic Designer will   assist   with designing promotional material that elevates the awareness,   interests   and participation in all aspects of campus life for all Algonquin College students. The desired results above will occur   as a result of   the effective coordination with the Manager,   Marketing   and the Creative Director.  

Job Duties :  

• Assist in p roduc ing on brand materials in a variety of mediums including but not limited  to: web design , printed collateral, email marketing, digital  marketing  signage ,  social  media and screens.  

• Collaborate with the team to d esign relevant  digital  assets  for social media platforms and website  

• Make changes on content based on feedback from others  

• Create custom digital versions of promotional materials to be displayed on  digital screens  located on all three campuses  

• Help design graphics for each department as requested  

• Create advertisements for the Algonquin Times and outside publications when necessary  

• Ability to follow and execute  Students’ Association  Brand Guidelines accordingly  

• Stay current with design trends  

• Event and marketing   assistance when needed

Qualifications:  

• C urrent Algonquin College Graphic Design student  

• Knowledgeable   in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office  

• Knowledge  and experience  with motion graphics is an asset  

• Experience in WordPress is an asset  

• Understanding of  Social Media   graphic sizing and resolution ,  primarily Facebook, Instagram , X and Tik Tok .  

Compensation :  

• This position is  paid $17 .60/hour   

• This position is a  part -time position, 15hours a week
