General Labour Manufacturing

Nexus Staffing Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Labour for our client in Stratford. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various tasks related to construction and manufacturing. This role requires the ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and Milling Equipment. The Labourer will play a crucial role in assembling, fabricating, and building components for Custom wood Doors.

Duties

• Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Operate Millwork machines.
• Basic machine set-up & maintenance (ie. Change knives, cutters, moulder heads, fence adjustments)
• Operate typical woodworking equipment safely & efficiently.
• Utilize forklift equipment to move materials safely around the worksite.
• Assist in machining processes to create precise components.
• .Preparation of Weather Strip Cap/packages
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Build structures or components according to blueprints or project plans.
• Understanding of wood species and their characteristics

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly, and Millwork.
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and assembly .
• Package finished products and prepare for shipping as required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform labor-intensive tasks throughout the workday.
• A commitment to maintaining safety standards on the job site.

$23.00 per hour
