Job Description – Commercial DZ Driver

Peak Processing Solutions, a leading cannabis beverage and product manufacturer based in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-focused Commercial DZ Driver to support our growing logistics and distribution operations. This role is responsible for transporting finished products, raw materials, and packaging supplies between our production facility, off-site storage locations, and provincial distributors across Ontario while maintaining compliance, product integrity, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a single axle 26-foot dry van straight truck safely and efficiently in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Transport finished and unfinished cannabis products to provincial distributors and off-site storage facilities across Ontario.
• Pick up and deliver raw materials, packaging supplies, and operational materials within the region.
• Stage, prepare, load, secure, and verify outbound shipments for transport.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Complete all required transportation documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipment records, inspection reports, and staging documentation.
• Maintain strict chain-of-custody and inventory control protocols for regulated cannabis products.
• Ensure shipment accuracy, cargo integrity, and compliance throughout loading, transport, and delivery activities.
• Operate and maintain material-handling equipment in accordance with Peak’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all applicable CVOR, Hours of Service (HOS), Electronic Logging Device (ELD), and Ministry of Transportation (MTO) requirements.
• Support occasional overtime, weekend deliveries, and schedule adjustments to meet business and customer requirements.
• Perform additional logistics and operational duties as assigned.
• This role will be driving from Windsor to the GTA and surrounding areas, day trips only no overnight required.

Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Class DZ Driver’s License
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience with letter from a previous insurer
• Clean Commercial Driver Abstract (CDA)
• Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check (CPIC)
• Experience transporting regulated, temperature-sensitive, or consumer packaged goods is considered an asset
• Working knowledge of CVOR, HOS, ELD, MTO regulations, and vehicle inspection requirements
• Forklift and warehouse handling experience is considered an asset
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to safety and operational excellence
