Role Purpose

Join Newmont’s Brucejack Mine Winter Snow Removal Team and help keep surface operations safe, accessible, and efficient throughout the winter season. As a Surface Labourer, you’ll perform snow removal, site clean-up, material handling, and general labour duties in a remote camp environment while maintaining Newmont’s high safety standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with snow stacking, shoveling duties and winter site maintenance activities
• Perform general housekeeping, site clean-up, and material handling
• Support construction projects and tradespeople with labour tasks
• Use hand tools and equipment to move materials and level ground
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and training requirements
• Work safely in challenging weather conditions and outdoor environments

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Physically fit and able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Experience in mining, industrial, construction, or labour roles is an asset
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred
• WHMIS and TDG certifications are considered assets
• Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote winter conditions
• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off

Rate of Pay: $32.28/hour

The expected salary range for this role is CA$32.28/hour. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia.
