We have partnered with a well-established and growing Canadian organization in the promotional products and branded merchandise space, is looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their finance team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who enjoys owning the details while also contributing to broader accounting operations and projects. If you’re looking for a step up into a more senior-level role without people management, this is an excellent opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role across day-to-day accounting and operational finance:
- Full-cycle customer invoicing and billing accuracy
- Overseas vendor vouching and payable processing
- Intercompany transactions (invoicing + reconciliations)
- Month-end support, including commission calculations
- Managing deposits and cash applications
- Reviewing open orders and discrepancies
- Supporting HST and U.S. sales tax filings
- Assisting with quarterly royalty reporting
- Cross-training and backup support across A/R and A/P
- Participating in ad hoc projects and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Diploma or degree in Accounting / Finance
- Strong understanding of A/P, A/R, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Experience in a product-based, distribution, or multi-entity environment is a strong asset
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational finance environment
