Under the direction of the Principal of Special Education and Student Services. The Itinerant Educational Assistant (CDA) supports the implementation of strategies and/or an action plan developed by team members in collaboration with school staff.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma;

• two years of related work experience;

• the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;

• initiative, judgment and discretion;

• And excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and flexibility to adapt to a variety of challenges.

• Individuals must possess a valid Driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel

In addition, the following will be considered an asset:

• knowledge of and experience in supporting elementary and high school students with social-emotional learning needs, speech and language delays, augmentative and alternative communication needs, Autism Spectrum disorders and behavioural challenges;

• experience in developing materials and resources, modeling interventions and strategies, educational coaching and current educational and augmentative and alternative communication technologies;

• Experience developing and providing professional development to a varied educational and clinical audience;

• collection of data for therapeutic progress monitoring ;

• the ability to provide input and feedback to the Speech Language Pathologist, regarding set therapy goals ;

• Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

This is a 10-month permanent position with an annual salary range of $56,531 to $60,859 .

The effective date is approximately August 27, 2026.
