BSS School Well-Being Counsellor
Bishop Strachan School
Serve as a Well-Being Counsellor at BSS starting August 31, 2026, in a permanent full-time role focused on nurturing students' emotional health. Collaborate across the educational setting for maximum impact. This position involves providing individual and group counselling, participating in parent meetings, and delivering workshops on various well-being topics. You will work closely with faculty, guiding students through crucial transitions and maintaining insights through case records to foster community well-being initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Champion student well-being in collaboration with faculty
- Facilitate workshops for parents and students
- Manage secure case records and identify intervention trends
- Oversee support for students’ transition between grades
- Engage with boarding students and provide necessary programming
- Master or Bachelor degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Relevant experience in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in workshop creation and facilitation
