Manager of Procurement Operations at NexGen

Join NexGen as the Procurement Manager, enhancing purchasing strategies in Saskatoon. This role focuses on effective vendor management and compliance with procurement policies. As a key player in the Contracts & Procurement department, you will report to the Director and lead procurement for the Saskatoon Project Office and Rook I Project. Your expertise will facilitate strategic sourcing and negotiating favorable contract terms, impacting the overall success of projects. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure timely procurement and risk management. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and plans
- Manage procurement lifecycle and coordinate packages
- Draft and execute contracts for operations and projects
- Conduct supplier capability assessments
- Lead knowledge transfer on procurement processes
- 10+ years in procurement or supply chain management
- Relevant university degree and procurement certifications preferred
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to workplace safety
