Kaiseki Chef – Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Kaiseki Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and executing traditional and contemporary Kaiseki cuisine, with a strong focus on seasonality, quality, presentation, and authentic Japanese culinary techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute seasonal multi-course Kaiseki menus.
- Apply traditional Japanese cooking techniques, including dashi, grilling, steaming, simmering, and precise knife work.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Work closely with the culinary team during menu preparation and service.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and an organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven professional experience in Kaiseki cuisine .
- Strong knowledge of Japanese ingredients, techniques, and presentation.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a professional kitchen environment.
