Summary
Lead the commercial acquisition of strategic AI data centre sites from initial engagement through execution and closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations of LOIs, purchase agreements, leases, options, and related commercial agreements.
- Develop acquisition strategies and transaction structures.
- Manage legal, commercial, and contractual negotiations.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and external advisors throughout the acquisition process.
- Manage transaction timelines and support internal investment approvals.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the acquisition process.
- Transition completed acquisitions to the Construction team.
Critical Qualifications
- 10+ years in commercial real estate acquisitions, infrastructure transactions, or corporate development.
- Experience negotiating complex land acquisitions and development agreements.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, due diligence, and transaction execution.
- Familiarity with AI data centre development, utility infrastructure, and development risk.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions in a fast-paced environment.
