Job Responsibility:

Fruit Stand Manager

Work term: Full-time, mid-June to mid-September

Shifts: Full-time (10 hours x 2 days, 8 hours x 2), 36 hours a week

Berrymobile Fruit Distribution Inc. is a Vancouver-based distribution company, supporting and promoting fresh, local fruit produced by farmers in British Columbia. The company started as a roadside fruit stand and has grown to where we are today with fruit stands in some of Vancouver's busiest parks. We source and evaluate fresh, high-quality, ethically-grown, and sustainable produce straight from farms to the local marketplaces.

The Fruit Stand Manager is responsible for keeping our fruit stand operations running smoothly and contributing to continual improvements. You have strong ownership over your work, rise up and are solution-orientated when faced with problems.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain fruit stand supplies are stocked
• Communicate with fruit stand team, updating product knowledge and pricing, restocking fruit as necessary
• Visit fruit stand locations, ensuring all are presentable and organized
• Provide continuous on-site training with staff
• Coordinate with HR for scheduling
• Create invoices for next day and manage leftovers
• Other duties to be assigned when required

Qualifications :

• Reliable, organized, and flexible
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Able to work well in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team
• MUST have a Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record (driver's abstract) from ICBC
• Have a smartphone and hands free headset with texting and/or data plan
• Must be willing to commit to working on weekends and long weekends

Compensation: $20 per hour
