$81,600 – $115,200 CAD. Role eligible for pay premium reassessed annually.

TD Innovation Partners (TDIP) is a full‑service technology banking team that provides bespoke, high‑touch banking and financial services to technology entrepreneurs. We collaborate with innovative technology and venture‑backed companies in the Commercial National Accounts, Commercial Mid‑Market and Small Business Banking space, leveraging industry knowledge to offer customized credit and cash‑management solutions.

Job Description

As an Associate, Capital Solutions, you will work alongside technology experts to assess new lending opportunities, underwrite credit facilities, and manage reporting and performance of client accounts. Your responsibilities include monitoring the TDIP portfolio for compliance, screening prospective clients, preparing credit memos, and engaging in market‑development activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support credit underwriting and due diligence, preparing financing proposals aligned with TDIP policy.
• Participate in client meetings with senior Capital Solutions and Relationship Managers to understand due diligence and recommend decisions.
• Recommend credits to Associate Director/Director, Capital Solutions and Commercial Credit Risk Management.
• Prepare annual reviews and interim credit requests for portfolio clients, including business performance and market trend analysis.
• Own monitoring and control processes for the portfolio, reporting, covenant testing and communication of outcomes.
• Collaborate with Relationship Management on day‑to‑day client support, portfolio growth and business development.
• Stay informed on new technologies, market conditions and industry developments to provide valuable insights.
• Contribute to a high‑performance team environment and deliver world‑class client experience.

Education / Accreditations

An undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or another quantitative discipline. MBA, CPA or CFA would be an asset.

• No prior technology ecosystem experience required, but advantageous.
• Previous experience in direct investment or lending would be an asset.
