Production Technician (Countertop Cut Shop)

Richelieu Hardware is looking for a Production Technician (Countertop Cut Shop) for the Moncton, New-Brunswick location.

Are you’re looking for a hands-on position with the opportunity to work with modern equipment, develop valuable production skills, and play a key role in taking customer orders and turning them into high-quality finished products? As a Production Technician in our Countertop Cut Shop, you will be able to take pride in seeing your work go from the cutting table to the customer’s finished project.

More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to :

• Read and interpret customer orders, cutting lists, measurements, and production specifications.
• Accurately measure, cut, and process countertop materials according to customer requirements.
• Operate and perform basic adjustments to countertop cutting and fabrication equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Safely handle, move, and store countertop materials and finished products.
• Prepare completed orders for pickup or delivery, ensuring products are properly packaged and protected.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the day.
• Complete routine equipment checks and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
• Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery teams to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies, defects, or production issues before orders leave the department.
• Follow all company safety procedures, production standards, and quality-control requirements.
• Assist with other production and warehouse duties as required to support the team.

Requirements

• Ability to work in standing position for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Comfortable using power tools, production equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
