Assistant, Real Estate Law Clerks
Essential Functions
- Provide support to team of clerks in completing off-title due diligence for acquisitions and sales of commercial properties, financing transactions, land development and condominium development transactions, including but not limited to verifying cost of clearance reports from various government and quasi-government agencies, preparing letters of request and requisitioning payment of fees from accounting department and on-going communicating with clerks regarding status of due diligence
- Provide support for condominium project final closings
- Obtaining property parcels and title instruments in the Teraview system
- Submitting title correction requests and obtaining historical abstracts via OnLand
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in legal administration or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate experience
- Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, work well under pressure and effectively meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential and non-routine information, with discretion and professionalism
- A strong team player and demonstrates positive work ethic
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient in Teraview, VuMaps, OnLand, and LDD is an asset

- Compensation: $60,000 - $72,000 per annum
