Outside Sales and Service Representative

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, goal oriented, customer-service oriented Outside Sales and Service Representative to join our team! Our company's focus is on superior customer service in a retail setting specializing in a home medical equipment products and services (i.e. we provide wheelchairs for seniors!)

You must also be mechanically inclined and knowledgeable with basic tools.

Your responsibilities are split between service calls (mostly delivery and set up of home medical equipment) and sales including recommending, explaining and setting up home medical equipment for clients and their families (primarily Wheelchairs but also walkers, rollators and scooters) - usually in the comfort of their home, long term care facility or retirement home. Daily driving of company van is required. Duties also include efficiently managing and preparing all paperwork, handling sales transactions, responding to calls in a timely manner, providing prospective clients and affiliated health professionals with sales quotes, discussing funding programs available, identifying new sales opportunities and providing excellent client service by offering a positive, caring experience. The goal would be to work to a full time sales position and we will hire another person for service.

Successful candidate must be friendly, well organized, and enjoy working with people. Great amount of patience and mature attitude is required to provide client education to people who have little understanding of the products available to assist them with activities of daily living that have become difficult due to aging or injury. Must be diligent in completing paperwork and returning phone calls in a timely manner. Must have basic mechanical skills. Must be able to work well with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and physicians in the community. Must have a positive attitude and a great sense of humour!

What you bring

· Education. You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant program (business, sales, marketing, etc.). Training in Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Assistant or Health Sciences is an asset but not essential. Training is available to the right candidate.

· Experience. You have 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in more of a consulting sales role then pure retail. Previous experience in Sales or Customer Service is essential. Preference will be given to a candidate with previous experience with a Home Health Care/Mobility Company in a retail setting .

· Innovation. You are a problem solver by nature and have expertise in innovating new ways to meet your customers' needs. You are creative in generating new leads. You can build out and capitalize on a network to uncover new revenue opportunities.

· Technical Skills. You are proficient with computer programs such as MS Office, Excel and Outlook.

· Communication and collaboration. You have outstanding oral and written communication skills. You can relate to people and build trust quickly. You thrive in a team environment, working with internal and external teams to drive business and satisfy our customers.

· Additional must-have requirements. You have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Travel to client sites is required; however, you will be provided with a company vehicle. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have a good mechanical skills to assemble, deliver and set up home medical equipment.
