Mechanical Engineer for Power Projects

Elevate your career with Sargent & Lundy as a Mechanical Engineer in a hybrid role. This position offers flexibility to work remotely two days a week while focusing on electric power generation. Join a team that supports electric power projects by providing development and conceptual design services. You will conduct technical evaluations and analyses related to mechanical systems for projects like simple cycle gas turbines and coal-fired generation. Your keen engineering insights will contribute to project cost analysis and risk assessments, ensuring comprehensive evaluations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering design reviews for power projects
- Conduct technical due diligence assessments
- Support project development through conceptual designs
- Perform risk assessments and contract development
- Travel across North America and internationally
- Minimum 10 years in electric power engineering
- BSME degree from accredited program required
- Experience with gas turbines and mechanical designs
- Strong technical communication skills
- Knowledge of power station operations
