Internal Medicine Specialist Canadian Armed Forces

Serve as an Internal Medicine Specialist with the Canadian Armed Forces, providing critical care and impacting military healthcare across Canada and globally. This role combines patient care, education, and leadership. You'll address the diverse medical needs of CAF members whether in clinics or overseas. As an experienced professional, your responsibilities include managing intensive care units, advising on critical care medicine, and shaping health policies. You also play a vital role in educating other healthcare professionals, ensuring readiness in acute care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care at Canadian Forces clinics
- Manage intensive care for patients in various settings
- Offer transport care during patient evacuations
- Advise teams on critical care medicine
- Shape healthcare policies within the CAF
- Unrestricted practice license in Internal Medicine
- Membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Documented experience in critical care medicine
- Participation in military readiness training
- Capacity for deployment in challenging environments
