Territory Sales Manager

Location: Remote in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (Kingston potentially acceptable)

Compensation: CAD $71,000 to $87,000 base salary plus 50% target bonus paid quarterly

Our client, an established organization in the building products, dealer, & distributors industry, is seeking a driven Territory Sales Manager to accelerate business growth throughout the Ottawa market. Focus:

• Drive territory revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, and converting new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
• Develop and execute structured territory strategies, translating quarterly sales objectives into actionable account plans and consistent field activity.
• Build productive relationships with contractors, builders, and other commercial customers by understanding their priorities and delivering practical solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and needs assessment through presentations, negotiations, and ongoing account development.
• Apply consultative selling techniques to communicate product value, address customer challenges, and uncover additional revenue opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunity pipelines, and customer information within a CRM platform to support forecasting and planning.
• Conduct regular customer meetings, field visits, and industry networking activities throughout the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with internal sales partners and leadership to share market insights, coordinate customer initiatives, and achieve business objectives.

Skill Set:

• Approximately 2 to 5 years of B2B outside sales experience preferred, with consideration for candidates who have strong industry experience and sales fundamentals.
• Proven ability to prospect for new business while retaining, managing, and expanding an existing account portfolio.
• Strong territory management capabilities, including structured planning, pipeline development, prioritization, and disciplined sales execution.
• Commercial acumen and a consultative approach to identifying customer needs, presenting value, and solving business challenges.
• Experience using CRM platforms to manage sales activities and opportunities, preferably Salesforce.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
• A collaborative, coachable mindset with the initiative to work independently and contribute to a connected sales team.
• Willingness to travel locally and within approximately two hours of Ottawa territory, with occasional overnight travel. Experience in construction-related or building products sales is an advantage but not required.
