Salesforce Developer

Role Overview:

• We are seeking a hands-on Salesforce Developer to support enhancement work within the Wood Gundy line of business.
• This consultant will be working across multiple Salesforce initiatives, focused on building, enhancing, and supporting Salesforce functionality across Apex, Apex Triggers, Lightning Components, integrations, and UI-related development.
• This is a true developer position.
• The ideal candidate must be comfortable coding, troubleshooting, and explaining their technical approach in detail.
• Candidates who have moved too far into purely senior, architect, or management-focused roles without recent hands-on development may not be the right fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce solutions across multiple business initiatives.
• Build and maintain Apex classes, Apex Triggers, Lightning Components, and related Salesforce functionality.
• Support UI development within Salesforce Lightning and ensure components are scalable and user-friendly.
• Work on Salesforce integrations with internal and external systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Salesforce code and configurations.
• Apply strong knowledge of the Salesforce security model, including permissions, profiles, roles, sharing rules, and data access controls.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project teams to understand requirements and deliver enhancements.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and hands-on technical screening/interview processes.

Must-Have Skills:

• 6-10 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong experience with Apex, Apex Triggers, and Lightning Components.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce fundamentals and platform capabilities.
• Solid understanding of the Salesforce security model, including permissions, roles, profiles, sharing model, and data visibility.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Ability to build and support UI functionality within Lightning Components.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on development capacity.
• Comfortable answering advanced technical questions and completing a hands-on technical screening.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Salesforce Mobile experience.
• Salesforce App Builder experience.
• Platform Developer I certification.
• Salesforce certifications.
• Architect-level or consultant-level Salesforce experience, while still remaining hands-on.
• Sales Cloud Consultant certification or Sales Cloud experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• The ideal candidate is a strong Salesforce Developer who can speak clearly to real project experience and demonstrate hands-on ability.
• They should be able to walk through examples of Apex Triggers they have built, explain how they approach integrations, and show a strong understanding of Lightning UI development and Salesforce security.
• This role is best suited for someone who has remained close to the code and can contribute directly to enhancements, development, and troubleshooting from day one.
