Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL for backend data manipulation, query optimization, and troubleshooting
- Proven experience working with SAS in a backend/data engineering capacity (data extraction, transformation, and reporting support)
- Experience developing and maintaining reporting solutions using SSRS
- 2+ years of experience in data development/analytics within Financial Services or Insurance environments
- Ability to analyze large datasets, identify data quality issues, and support bug fixes, enhancements, and performance improvements
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data pipelines, and report generation processes
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Exposure to scorecard/reporting frameworks or performance KPI tracking initiatives
- Experience working with Personal/Business Banking datasets or broker/financial planner reporting
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking two SAS Developers to join a Tier 1 financial institution in Toronto on a 12-month hybrid contract. These individuals will support the Scorecard teams within Personal and Business Banking, specifically aligned to Financial Planners and Broker lines of business.
This role is heavily focused on backend data development and reporting. The successful candidates will work closely with business and analytics teams to support ongoing enhancements, bug fixes, and optimization of scorecard reporting systems.
Key responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and optimizing SAS and SQL-based data pipelines that support scorecard reporting. You will be responsible for identifying existing data markers, building new transformation logic, and creating merged datasets that feed into KPI-driven reports. These scorecards are critical in tracking broker and financial planner performance, so accuracy, scalability, and efficiency are key.
You will also work with SSRS to support report generation and ensure data outputs align with business requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
