McMan is seeking a Case Manager to join the Wicihitowin team, supporting Indigenous youth aged 16–24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness through safe housing and individualized, culturally grounded supports. Guided by Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Indigenous Trauma‑Informed care.

Wicihitowin (phonetic spelling: Wi-Chi-Hi-Towin) is a Cree word that means “to help mutually” and “the act of helping one another.” Connected to three other Cree words that mean love, empathy and kindness for all living beings. Wicihitowin fosters housing stability, cultural connection, life skills, and pathways to education and employment through community engagement and connections with Elders and Knowledge Keepers. We are seeking a candidate with experience in case management, youth homelessness, strong communication skills, and a shared commitment to McMan’s core values of Respect, Trust, Empathy, Genuineness, and Commitment.

Duties And Responsibilities

Some of the key aspects of this role include:

• Manage an assigned caseload of 7 relatives (youth)
• Meet relatives, program and organizational needs while working from a flexible schedule that could include evenings.
• Educate and support individuals to increase skills that promote greater self-efficacy.
• Utilize a Natural Supports approach to enhance relatives' support networks and long-term outcomes.
• Provide individual instruction, modeling, and support of basic life skills (ie: health, nutrition, home cleanliness, safety)
• Monitor and support individuals through a recovery-oriented system approach to ensure living conditions are safe and sanitary.
• Implement integrated service delivery from the point of referral to program completion and transition for individuals accessing the program.
• Complete case management responsibilities that include assessments, goal planning, case consultation, monitoring and evaluation of the goals to meet the relative’s needs.

Ideal Candidate

• A degree or diploma in Human Services.
• Knowledge of Indigenous people’s unique histories, languages, cultural practices, spiritual beliefs
• Experience with HMIS data would be preferred.
• Knowledge of youth homelessness, community resources.
• Three (3) years’ experience working with youth in case management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong writing, organizational, program planning and interpersonal skills
• Current standard First Aid Certification and Suicide Intervention Training.
• Valid Alberta Driver’s license
• Must have reliable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage ($2M liability)
• The successful candidate must also have a Child Welfare Intervention Check and Police Check (current within 6 months).
• Knowledge and experience with Relational Theory, Recovery oriented system of care and stages of change are assets.

This role will require the ability to work flexible hours and participate in the organization's on-call rotation.

Salary Range: $49,768.00 - $54,931.00 annually
