As a Senior COBOL Developer, you will leverage over 10 years of experience to manage the software development lifecycle within BMO Financial.
Your role requires an in-depth understanding of algorithms, data structures, and life insurance applications, helping to translate business needs into technological execution. You will lead testing initiatives and ensure code compliance with security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and integrate software code with strict adherence to standards
- Design, develop, and maintain applications in COBOL
- Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements
- Support production issues with effective solutions
- Facilitate detailed code reviews and documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience with COBOL and AS400 CLP
- Development proficiency in Ingenium PAS versions 5.x - 7.x
- Familiarity with life insurance products and systems
- Ability to prepare test plans and execute testing
- Robust analytical skills and effective communication
