Journeyman Electrician – $48.13 per hour – Calgary, AB

They are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join their safe, clean, and highly collaborative manufacturing facility in Calgary. Job Type: Permanent, Full‑time. Location: Calgary, AB. Schedule: 5x8 Mon‑Fri rotating or straight shift TBD. Environment: Clean Manufacturing / Industrial (warm temperatures in summer months). Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on plant equipment, implementing permanent, long‑term solutions to minimize downtime. Respond rapidly to equipment and building breakdowns, balancing temporary fixes with permanent repairs based on production constraints. Execute predictive and preventative maintenance programs, including regular machinery checks and lubrication. Collaborate daily with Engineers, Millwrights, and Operators to optimize equipment reliability. Assist with the installation of new plant machinery and occasionally support light fabrication. Handle mechanical‑related repairs, heavy equipment adjustments, and antifriction bearing fits as assigned by maintenance leadership. Qualifications

Valid Journeyman Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred) and a High School Diploma. Strong technical knowledge covering complex electrical systems and general mechanical work. Good verbal and written communication skills paired with a positive, proactive initiative. Ability to work a weekly rotating shift schedule and comfortably handle warmer seasonal temperatures. Must successfully pass a criminal background check, pre‑employment medical evaluation, and a clear drug test. Summary
