Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for:
Administering & coordinating the company's Tool Program
Coordinating the Tool Calibration Program
Coordinating the WHMIS Program
Controlling the flow of documents through stores
Data Entry
Performing various purchasing support functions
Liaises with BTS to ensure changes to processes are updated in the systems.
On a relief basis, carries out the duties of the Asset Control Specialist .
Direct Charge items are addressed and distributed out in a timely manner to recipients.
Process Asset Disposal requests as directed by the Stores Supervisor
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Requires Grade 12 graduation, plus clerical and typing courses and courses in Microsoft Office. Experience using a personal computer and Microsoft software.
EXPERIENCE:
18 months of clerical experience; with sound knowledge of purchasing, shipping, receiving and inventory control functions; working knowledge of hand and light industrial tools; with and demonstrate ability to organize and work in a multi-task environment with minimal supervision. Up to 6 months in the job to become familiar with tools, uniforms and WHMIS responsibilities and the computer software used in the position.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Rate of Pay
Wage: $39.51 per hour
Please note: All new employees will be subject to a 6-week trainee rate at 75% of the hourly rate.
