Caregiver for a very nice senior lady(Cantonese‑Speaking)

I'm seeking an experienced Cantonese speaking caregiver to offer supportive care to a vibrant 94-year-old Cantonese-speaking woman in Coquitlam, who's fully mobile. The ideal candidate will primarily provide companionship, assist with safe bathing, and accompany her during neighborhood walks. Your responsibilities will include:

• Fostering a friendly environment by engaging in Cantonese conversation, offering companionship and emotional support.
• Providing bathing assistance while maintaining her dignity and safety.
• Sharing enjoyable walks around the neighbourhood with the client.
• Closely monitoring her well-being and escalating any concerning observations.
• Maintaining a calm, respectful and supportive environment at all times.

To be considered for this role, you need to be fluent in Cantonese, both in speaking and understanding. Prior experience working with seniors will be greatly advantageous. A crucial requirement for this role is the ability to provide safe bathing assistance. It's important to be dependable, patient, compassionate, and legally eligible to work in Canada. A clean criminal record or being amenable to undergoing a Criminal Record Check is essential. This position doesn’t require a driving license, thus a suitable fit for those without one. Please note that this is a live-out, part-time position, with a work schedule on Mondays and Thursdays in the evenings. The expected working hours are less than 20 hours per week. While not essential, caregivers with experience or willingness to work with dementia, Alzheimer's, incontinence issues (diapers), and Parkinson's disease will be given priority.
