ADM 1300 Business Management Teaching Assistant

University of Ottawa

Lead in-person discussion groups for ADM 1300 at Telfer School of Management, applying business case analysis and presentation skills.

This Teaching Assistant supports first-year BCom students during the 2027 Winter Semester. You will conduct seminars, guide case-method discussions, grade presentations and executive summaries, and proctor exams. The appointment runs at Main Campus from January 4 through April 30, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct weekly discussion-group seminars for approximately 36 students
Demonstrate business presentations and lead case-method discussions
Evaluate case presentations and provide timely written feedback
Grade weekly case executive summaries with constructive feedback
Proctor exams and attend regular teaching-assistant meetings

Requirements:

Minimum CGPA of 7.0; 8.0 preferred
Minimum A- in ADM 1300 or equivalent
Two years of post-secondary business education required
Experience analyzing and solving business cases
Fluent English; strong interpersonal and communication skills

Support ADM 1300 students through business-case teaching, grading, feedback, and exam proctoring at Telfer’s Main Campus.
