Industrial Labour, Specialized Services

The Industrial Labour for Specialized Services will be working alongside a team of highly trained individuals who handle the company’s most dynamic projects. This individual will be highly motivated, coachable and willing to obtain further training while always displaying a positive attitude.

Key Accountabilities

• Involved with execution of chemical and petroleum transfers including materials handling

• Fully engaged as an entrant, manwatch, or rescue attendant for Confined Space Entry projects inclusive of tank cleanings.

• Involvement with HAZMAT Emergency Response and responding to spills

• Involvement with transloading of railcars (Both liquid and solid products)

• Involvement with railcar cleaning and purging operations

• Involvement with environmental projects and assisting as required

• Involvement with technical rescue services including water response

• Fully engaged with decontamination projects under direction of project leader

• Participation in projects that are deemed out of scope or require more planning and preparation

• Willingness to lead by example and work safely, ensuring compliance with all GFL’s policies and procedures

• Affiliation and involvement with various divisions, and various work types throughout the company

Requirements :

• Physically fit

• Able to work long hours

• Able to work out of town from time to time

• Meticulous, organized and motivated

• Able to problem solve and trouble shoot

• Excellent communication skills

• Team player with a positive attitude

• Able to take direction and follow through on instructions

• Mechanically inclined

• Vacuum truck and power washing would be an asset

• Specialized training provided by GFL
