Human Resources Director

What You Will Do

You will be part of the management team, and your main responsibilities will include:

Support Talent Attraction and Integration

• Manage recruitment activities, from posting jobs to participating in interviews.

• Develop a candidate experience that aligns with the organization’s culture.

• Design and coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for new employees.

• Collaborate with managers to identify development and training needs.

Act as an HR Partner for Managers

• Advise management on best practices in human resources.

• Support performance management and team coaching.

• Assist managers in workplace relations and conflict resolution.

• Actively participate in discussions with the union and matters related to the health and safety committee.

Ensure Administrative Excellence and Compliance

• Manage employee files with rigor, discretion, and professionalism.

• Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits.

• Draft and update job descriptions, employment contracts, and HR documents.

• Ensure compliance with Quebec labor laws, internal policies, and health and safety practices.

Contribute to the Overall Performance of the Organization

• Participate in various operational and strategic projects related to the company’s growth.

• Take part in the Manager on Duty (MOD) program as needed.

• Promote a motivating, safe workplace focused on continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

• A college or university degree in human resources, hotel management, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resource management role.

• Excellent command of both French and English, both spoken and written.

• Good knowledge of labor laws in Quebec, including in unionized environments.

• Proven ability in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and priority management.

• Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or service environments is an asset.

• Experience in pre-opening of establishments or launching operations is an asset.

• Knowledge of a third language or proficiency with HR data is an asset.
