FINANCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT (Front Counter) Posting 2024/27
The Position: The County of Wetaskiwin Finance Department is seeking a permanent full timeFinancial Services Assistant. This position will actively participate in general receptionist duties, including cash receipting and answering switchboard. Office Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first point communication with ratepayers and visitors.
- Process payments daily, enter credit card payments, balance the cash register at the end of each shift, and prepare bank deposits.
- Respond to general account inquiries.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, post outgoing mail.
- Respond to departmental inquiries.
- Cross training to support other departments.
Desired Education, Skill Sets and Experience:
- Office Administration Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills including handling complaints and issues.
- Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
