Job Title: Heavy Duty Shop Technician / Parts Installer
Rate of Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 /hour (based on experience)
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm
Location: St. Catharines, ON.
Job Type: Full-time
We are hiring a Shop Technician/Heavy Duty Parts Installer for client in St. Catharine's that manufactures high quality trucks and trucking equipment. Successful applicants will have 2+ years of experience assembling or installing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and install truck components (e.g., weight calibration, pneumatic and electrical systems)
- Build and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems for dump trucks and other trucking equipment
- Perform quality inspections on equipment before/after installation
- Follow safety guidelines set out in the facility
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Actively participate in department meetings
- Undergo general training programs
- Lifting up to 50lbs throughout the shift
- Other tasks as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
- 1.5-2 years of manufacturing (automotive preferred) or technician experience
- Strong communication
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Welding experience (preferred)
- Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
- CSA Safety Shoes
- Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search
