Our client is a growing high-volume distributor with an automated operations environment and has been in business for over 40 years who is on the hunt for a Maintenance Supervisor to assume a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and leading a team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced operational setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining automated systems, supporting preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and driving operational efficiency through strong technical and people leadership. MUST be a certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A). This is a full-time permanent position Monday to Friday for the afternoon shift from 4:00pm-12:00am. The afternoon shift Supervisor will be groomed to take over for the day-time shift Supervisor so there is potential to move to the day-shift in the future with long-term career growth trajectory! The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining automated systems, supporting preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and driving operational efficiency through strong technical and people leadership. MUST be a certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A). This is a full-time permanent position Monday to Friday for the afternoon shift from 4:00pm-12:00am. The afternoon shift Supervisor will be groomed to take over for the day-time shift Supervisor so there is potential to move to the day-shift in the future with long-term career growth trajectory! Core responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance Operations & Reliability : lead shift maintenance activities for automated warehouse and production equipment; troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, motors, bearings, chains, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.; support equipment uptime through preventative and predictive maintenance planning
- Automation & Controls : assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems; support maintenance of sensors, drives, HMIs, and networked control systems; work with robotics and automated material handling equipment.
- Team Leadership : supervise and support maintenance personnel; assign daily work, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance; support hiring, onboarding, and performance management activities.
- Continuous Improvement & Facility Support : participate in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives; maintain accurate maintenance records; assist with inventory control for spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- 433A certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright journeyperson.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or automated operations environments
- Previous experience leading or mentoring maintenance teams
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience working with conveyors, automated equipment, packaging machinery, or sortation systems
- Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, VFDs, and industrial automation systems
- Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and CMMS platforms
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Base salary: 90-100K (based on experience and certifications)
