GIS Specialist Water & Wastewater Planning

Elevate your career as a GIS Specialist in Water and Wastewater with Peel Region. This full-time contract role emphasizes advanced technical studies and hybrid work flexibility at 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton. In this position, you will work closely with the Manager of Asset Management, focusing on GIS dataset development and visual representations of data. With a degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering and 3-5 years of experience, you will provide expert guidance for the Regional Water and Wastewater Program while supporting key infrastructure planning projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop GIS datasets, maps, and advanced dashboards
- Create infrastructure information systems related to key water data
- Act as a technical advisor for program planning guidelines
- Analyze technical data for flow and storm capacities
- Collaborate with external civil engineering initiatives
- Degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
- Hands-on experience with GIS/CAD software
- Understanding of water/wastewater infrastructure principles
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
