105 Gibson Centre (105GC) is a faith-based community care centre, established by the Toronto Christian Community Church (TCCC) in 2013. Position Summary

The Supervised Behaviour Coach delivers Applied Behaviour Analytic (ABA) treatment services to children aged 2 to 16 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related disabilities under the direction and supervision of a Registered Behavior Analyst (RBA). The Supervised Behaviour Coach provides individual and small group intervention to help children develop skills, such as, social, communication, daily living, and play skills. This is an entry-level clinical position ideal for individuals pursuing a career in behaviour analysis, psychology, education, social work, and related fields.

• Passionate about serving individuals of all ages, ethnicities, cultures, backgrounds, and needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and adapt interventions to meet their cultural needs.
• Commitment to maintain client dignity, privacy and confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Highly relational and able to work as part of a team. 
• Fluent in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, or other second languages, is an asset.

Education and Experience Qualifications: 

• Post-secondary education (diploma or degree in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred).
• Experience working or volunteering with neurodivergent children and their families, an asset.
• Basic understanding of ABA principles; Formal training (e.g., RBT coursework) is an asset but not required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional, responsible, and respectful in all settings.
• Willingness to learn and grow under clinical supervision.
• Able to manage administrative tasks efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Follow individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising RBA and under their supervision with high integrity.
• Deliver ABA interventions to children in small groups at the centre.
• Actively, intentionally, and meaningfully engage children in various learning activities.
• Collect, record, and conduct simple behavioural data accurately and efficiently. Complete session notes and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare program materials and activities, and complete miscellaneous tasks as necessary to support efficient, effective, and successful program implementation.
• Participate in case reviews, clinical supervision, training, staff and team development meetings to enhance service quality and personal professional growth.
• Support the promotion of community programs and participate in community outreach efforts to raise awareness and engage potential clients.
• Maintain respectful, professional, open, and timely communication with team members and clients both orally and in writing.
• Respect diversity and inclusion by supporting the participation of the neurodivergent community in other programs at the Centre, where appropriate.
• Practice safe, trauma-informed, compassionate, and client-centred care in all sessions.
• Attend regular staff meetings and actively participate in centre-wide activities and events upon request, as part of the broader centre community and team.
• Support other tasks as delegated by the Health Services Manager, as appropriate.

Expected Work Schedule                                                                  

• The Supervised Behaviour Coach is expected to work a maximum of 20 hours per week, depending on client caseload and program availability. 
• Sessions are typically delivered weekday afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends, based on program and client needs, with flexible scheduling availability an asset.
• All hours are to be scheduled in coordination with the family and clinical supervisor.
• Primarily at the centre, with occasional travel to off-site community settings (e.g. schools) as needed.
