Overview

The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) is seeking a Commissioning Field Lead to execute established commissioning plans, coordinating field activities, and support safe and orderly startup for the Rare Earth Processing Facility. The position provides technical expertise throughout pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.

Accountabilities

• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation for assigned systems or packages, including procedures, test sheets, checklists, and work instructions
• Support and coordinate day-to-day commissioning activities in the facility, including system walkdowns, readiness checks, equipment testing, functional verification, and start-up activities
• Work closely with engineering, construction, operations readiness, vendors, and contractors to support alignment of commissioning activities
• Identify commissioning issues, deficiencies, and punch list items and escalate risks or constraints to senior commissioning personnel
• Support field troubleshooting during pre-commissioning and commissioning by assisting with investigation, documentation, and follow-up actions
• Execute commissioning tasks in compliance with safety requirements, operating procedures, quality standards, and management of change processes
• Provide status updates, documentation, and input to support planning, readiness reviews, and startup coordination
• Maintain accurate commissioning records and documentation for assigned systems or packages

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a technical background such as engineering or a science related field, a combination of education and experience will be considered
• 3-5 years of relevant commissioning, pre-commissioning, startup, operations readiness, or industrial project experience is required
• Experience supporting commissioning activities in field-based or construction environments is preferred

The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.

This position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
