Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team in Hamilton, Ontario. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a passion for mechanical design within the building and construction industry. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative projects, ensuring high-quality design solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems for building projects
- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to create detailed drawings and specifications
- Conduct research and analysis to support design decisions
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to design discussions
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards in all designs
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving design issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
