Senior Accountant

Are you looking to join a growing company in the fintech space? Are you an experienced accountant with a keen eye for detail? Our client is building out their finance team and looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join them in a full time capacity.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant is as follows but not limited to:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across multiple entities, ensuring proper segregation, consistency, and integrity while processing high volume daily transactions.
• Manage full‑cycle bookkeeping
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes across all entities
• Prepare and review intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations
• Assist with financial reporting, including internal management reports
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as required
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed
• Respond to finance‑related inquiries from internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or similar field
• 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Professional accounting designation or progress toward one is an asset
• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple legal entities
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
