Fourth-Class Power Engineering Instructor

Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic instructor(s) for our Fourth-Class Power Engineering Program at the Swift Current Campus. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the instructor will plan, organize and implement an instructional program and learning environment that guides and encourages learners to develop and fulfill their academic potential.  

Start Date: August 24, 2026
End Date: April 28, 2027
Student Contact Days: 77.00
Total Contract Days: 87.25

Qualifications:
The PENG Instructor should bring the following qualifications to this position:
-Third Class Power Engineering Interprovincial Certificate.
-Second Class Power Engineering Interprovincial Certificate, preferred.
-Two years of recent, on-the job Third Class operating experience.
-Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
-Instructional Experience.
-Refrigeration Engineer's Certificate and experience in refrigeration operations.
-Effective instructional ability.
-Effective interpersonal skills.
-Effective communication (oral and written) skills.
-Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
-Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
-Demonstrates valuing diversity.
