Math Instructor

Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Math instructor for our Power Engineering and Welding programs at the Swift Current Campus.  Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Instructor(s) will plan, organize and implement an instructional program and learning environment that guides and encourages learners to develop and fulfill their academic potential.  

Power Engineering:                        
Start date: August 24, 2026                    
End date:  September 4, 2026                                                          
Total Contract Days:  5.75 days                                                                                              
Course:  MATH299 - Intermediate Algebra and Basic Trigonometry

Welding:
Start Date: August 24, 2026
End Date: September 4, 2026
Total Contract Days: 5.75 days
Course:  MATH169 - Trade Mathematics

Qualifications:
The instructor should bring the following qualifications to this position:
-A four-year Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, with sufficient classes in pure and/or applied mathematics to constitute a major (U of S / U of R standards).
-Two years recent relevant business or industry experience or post-secondary teaching experience.  
-Effective communication skills (written and oral).
-Effective interpersonal skills.
-Effective instructional skills.
-Demonstrates valuing diversity.
