Reporting to the Manager, Core Resuscitation Products, The French Language Product Coordinator supports and coordinates the end-to-end French product development process for Heart & Stroke’s resuscitation materials. While the Linguistic Services (LS) team completes all translation work, this role ensures that translated materials accurately reflect the English products by working closely with the Product Specialists and volunteer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Responsibilities include coordinating the French review workflow, organizing SME input, resolving content questions, and ensuring that French products are consistent, high-quality, and delivered on schedule. While overall project oversight is managed by the project specialist, this role collaborates to provide the language specific coordination and subject matter support needed to produce Heart & Stroke French language materials to bring the products to market. Translation Workflow & Vendor Management
- Submit finalized English source files to LS for translation.
- Ensure LS receives complete context, instructions, and assets.
- Track translation schedules and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with external translation and design vendors as required.
- Identify risks or delays early and implement mitigation strategies.
- Recruit, schedule, and engage French SMEs for linguistic review.
- Facilitate review cycles and ensure complete, timely feedback
- Consolidate SME feedback and support resolution of conflicting recommendations.
- Engage a lead SME for complex language or consensus building needs.
- Coordinate the internal linguistic and subject matter review of translated materials.
- Partner with LS to review and resolve linguistic inconsistencies.
- Ensure smooth communication loops between LS, SMEs, and product teams
- Coordinate translation and review of French scripts for video and audio assets.
- Collaborate with the brand lead and production teams to ensure multimedia components meet quality and timeline requirements, in alignment with agreed‑upon creative and production processes
- Ensure French language timelines align with the broader production schedule.
- Support French product testing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support French product delivery across the Resuscitation team
- Attend update meetings between Resuscitation and LS.
- Act as the central point for content‑related communication between LS, product specialists, SMEs, and project teams, ensuring all translation questions, terminology decisions, and product‑specific clarifications are addressed.
- Maintain clear and efficient communication pathways.
- Provide updates, surface risks, and ensure alignment across contributors.
Education
- Fully bilingual (French & English) with strong written communication skills in both languages.
- College diploma preferred
- Heart & Stroke instructor designation (e.g., BLS Instructor) considered an asset
- 2-3 years in experience in similar role
- Experience coordinating product production processes.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary project teams.
- Familiarity with resuscitation education products (BLS, ACLS, PALS, Heartsaver).
- Experience working with translation, editing and linguistic review is an asset.
- Experience in adult education, product development, or learning program delivery an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English.
- Strong interpersonal and volunteer engagement skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management capabilities.
- Skilled in consensus building and facilitation.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new digital tools.
- Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Wrike) is an asset.
This role offers a hiring range of $50,000 to $60,000, aligned with our compensation framework and your professional background. Ses responsabilités comprendront notamment : coordonner le processus de révision des documents en français, organiser la contribution des SM, répondre aux questions liées au contenu et veiller à ce que les produits soient uniformes, de haute qualité et livrés dans les délais. La supervision globale des projets est assurée par le ou la spécialiste des produits. Lors de la mise en marché des produits de Cœur + AVC, le ou la titulaire du poste collabore avec cette personne afin de coordonner le volet francophone de la production des documents et l’apport des SM. Gestion des processus de traduction et des fournisseurs
- Fournir aux Services linguistiques (SL) les versions définitives des documents en anglais à traduire.
- Transmettre aux SL l’ensemble du contexte, des directives et des contenus.
- Faire le suivi des échéanciers et des livraisons des traductions.
- Collaborer avec des fournisseurs externes de services de traduction et de graphisme, au besoin.
- Repérer le plus tôt possible les risques et les retards potentiels, et mettre en place des stratégies d’atténuation.
- Recruter des spécialistes en la matière (SM) francophones aux fins de révisions linguistiques et planifier leurs tâches.
- Organiser les cycles de révision et obtenir une rétroaction complète dans les délais.
- Regroupzr les rétroactions des SM et aider à résoudre les divergences entre les recommandations.
- Désigner un SM principal ou une SM principale dans les cas où le langage est complexe ou lorsqu’il faut établir un consensus.
- Coordonner la révision des documents traduits avec les partenaires internes pour le volet linguistique et les spécialistes en la matière (SM) pour le contenu.
- Collaborer avec les Services linguistiques (SL) pour analyser et corriger les incohérences linguistiques.
- Assurer une communication fluide entre le SL, les SM et les équipes de produits.
- Coordonner la traduction et la révision des textes des produits audiovisuels.
- Collaborer avec le ou la gestionnaire de marque et les équipes de production pour faire en sorte que les produits multimédias soient conformes aux exigences de qualité et livrés selon les délais établis, conformément aux processus de création et de production.
- Veiller à ce que les échéanciers francophones respectent les échéanciers globaux de production.
- Participer à la mise à l’essai des produits francophones tout au long du cycle de vie des produits.
- Contribuer à la diffusion des produits en français au sein de l’équipe de réanimation.
- Participer aux réunions de mise à jour entre les équipes des Services linguistiques (SL) et de réanimation.
- Agir comme pivot pour les communications entre les Services linguistiques (SL), les spécialistes des produits, les spécialistes en la matière et les équipes de projet concernant le contenu, et veiller à ce que les questions de traduction, les décisions de terminologie et les clarifications particulières aux produits soient traitées.
- Maintenir des communications claires et efficaces.
- Fournir des mises à jour, faire part des risques et assurer une coordination efficace des collaboratrices et collaborateurs.
Formation
- Parfaitement bilingue (français et anglais), avec d’excellentes compétences en communication écrite dans les deux langues.
- Diplôme d’études postsecondaires, un atout.
- Titre d’instructeur de Cœur + AVC (p. ex. instructeur de soins immédiats en réanimation), un atout.
- De deux à trois ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire.
- Expérience de coordination de processus de production de produits.
- Expérience de collaboration avec des équipes interdisciplinaires.
- Bonne connaissance des produits de réanimation (SIR, SARC, SARP, Cardio-secours).
- Expérience de travail en traduction, en édition et en révision linguistique, un atout.
- Expérience en éducation aux adultes, en développement de produits ou en prestation de programmes d’apprentissage, un atout.
- Excellentes compétences orales et écrites en français et en anglais.
- Solides compétences en relations interpersonnelles et en engagement des bénévoles.
- Aptitudes exceptionnelles d’organisation, d’établissement des priorités et de gestion du temps.
- Habileté à faire émerger et à établir un consensus.
- Extrême attention aux détails.
- Compétence avec la suite Microsoft Office et aptitude à apprendre de nouveaux outils numériques.
