Tenure - track Faculty Position in Sociology of Work

The Department of Sociology announces the opening of a regular faculty position in the sociology of work.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Teach classes in the fields of quantitative methods and social statistics;
• Teach sociology at undergraduate and graduate levels;
• Oversee graduate students;
• Conduct research in one of the major fields of sociology, including quantitative methodology.

The successful candidate for the position will be hired as a regular professor at Université Laval as of the date of his/her hiring.

Selection criterias

• Doctorate completed by October 23, 2026, in Sociology or in a relevant discipline
• Qualifications to teach sociology at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels and to provide teachings in the sociology of work
• Teaching experience
• Expertise in the sociology of work
• Strong publication record and achievements in research

The successful candidate will be employed by Université Laval, where undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate teaching activities are conducted in French.
