Contractor Desk Sales Associate

Job Responsibility:

Overview We are seeking a full-time sales associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Learn to recognize a large number of profiles and know the specs of a variety of products.
• Stay up to date on industry style trends and be able to brainstorm with clients on how to complete their moulding/ construction projects.
• Load customer vehicles, have the ability to lift 50lbs.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the customer's shopping experience.
• Handle cashiering duties, including cash handling, processing transactions, and managing returns or exchanges.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking merchandise and ensuring displays are well-presented.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.

Experience

• 5 years of construction industry and customer service is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
• Steel toed boots are required.
• Fluent in English is required.

Salary to be discussed based on experience. We have a probation period of 3 months, after which time we have health, dental and life insurance available. The work day hours are Monday- Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm. We do not work the weekends.
