We are currently looking for a motivated and adaptable Shop & Logistics Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Shop & Assembly:
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components and systems using hand and power tools.
- Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Repair & Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and service activities.
Warehousing:
- Receive, store, and organize inventory and materials.
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain stock accuracy.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments.
- Package and prepare outgoing orders for delivery.
- Maintain shipping and receiving documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics role.
- Proficient with hand tools, forklifts, and basic computer systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
