Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results oriented Onsite Recruiter to join our team in Halifax, NS. The successful candidate will be responsible for full cycle recruitment, working closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, source qualified candidates, and support the hiring process from initial contact through onboarding.
This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to talent acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and develop recruitment strategies.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting qualified candidates.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media platforms, HRIS systems, networking, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation activities.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with applicable employment and labour legislation.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, contracts, and related documentation.
- Track recruitment metrics and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Support employee relations and other HR functions as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of employment standards and labour law compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with talent sourcing, lead generation, and candidate relationship management.
- Familiarity with HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, contracts management, and training initiatives.
- Strong research and networking skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
Schedule & Pay rate
Start date - Immediate
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Flexibility required, including occasional weekend availability
Pay Rate - $19 - $21 per hour (Negotiable based upon experience)
