The Regina Open Door Society Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to staff the Full-Time Permanent position of KidsFirst Home Visitor. The position will start on July 2,2026.

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide ongoing intensive supportive services primarily through home visits to assigned immigrant and refugee families.

Primary Responsibilities

• Encourage and promote self-sufficiency in all families
• Provide services to families before and after the birth of a baby
• Schedule and conduct home visits as determined by the KidsFirst Weighted Caseload Level Definition and utilizes the Growing Great Kids curriculum during home
• visits. Encourages and assists families in keeping an on-going file of home visit plans and follow up activities
• Provide families with the necessary information by utilizing materials and tools provided during training (i.e., Growing Great Kids, Family Curriculums, Ages and Stages, Daily Dos, Home Safety, Fire Safety, Immunization schedules, etc.)
• Reinforce and encourage positive ways parents can relate to their children
• Establish trusting, supportive and professional caring relationships with assigned families.
• Support families to strengthen their knowledge of child development, help parents understand how children learn and grow, plans and conducts activities together with parents to meet the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of their child

• Experience in caseload management, curriculum delivery, home visiting service, documentation/reporting, data input/collection, privacy compliance, event organization, goal planning, monitoring, and evaluation of service
• Experience in organizing and leading group activities
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, risk management, family centred, strength based, and solution focused practices/approaches
• Excellent oral/written communication skills and able to communicate effectively in a courteous manner
• Excellent computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and data entry
• Able to manage workload and carry out duties independently
• Able to work flexible hours and function in multidisciplinary and cross-cultural settings
• Able to develop materials and resources, respond to general inquiries, schedule/coordinate events, and compile documents and reports
• Complies with RODS Documentation standards. Complete case notes, data entries (i.e. KIMS), and reports in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of data input/collection, privacy compliance, event organization, goal planning, monitoring, and evaluation of service
• Maintain current CPR/First Aid Safety certification
• Learns and complies with RODS and Kids First protocols, standards, and procedures (i.e. Child
• Protection Protocol, Taxi/Nutrition Vouchers, Critical Incident, Home Visiting Safety, etc.)
• Demonstrate mutual trust and respect for all team members at all time. Work collaboratively and cooperatively with all team members to better meet the needs of the families
• Works with all team members to create a warm and accepting environment for all children and adults.
• Exhibits a positive attitude, which lends to productive work environment.

Required Qualification/Education

This position requires a completion of a relevant secondary education certificate/diploma in Child Development, Human Services and/or a minimum of 2 years related experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements

The successful applicant will also be required meet the following requirements

• have a valid Class 5-Novice 2 driver's license,
• access to an insured and reliable vehicle and provide
• a clean Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check,
• clean Driver's Abstract.
• Prior KidsFirst training (i.e. Growing Great Kids) and ability to speak other languages is an asset.

Salary Level/Classification

The annual salary for this position starts at $44,960.78 ($25,62 per hour) at Step one of the Home Visitor RODS wage category. Pay periods are the end of day on the 15th of the month and the end of each month.

Working Conditions

• Working from clients home and office
• Required to carry materials up to 20 LBS
• Regularly drive within the city limit to visit clients
• Use own vehicle when the organization vehicle is not available
• Occasional travel for training and meetings
